A lifelong member of the community, Kenny has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1969 and is the fifth generation to his family to be in funeral service. He and Mary Beth, who is also a licensed funeral director, have been married over 50 years. They have three children, Molly, John and Matt and have seven grandchildren and one great grand daughter.
Cameron Ison is a 2023 graduate of McCracken County High School and is the son of Rob Ison and Jenny Cox. Raised in a family grounded in faith and service, his father being a pastor, Cameron brings a deep sense of compassion, respect and integrity to every interaction.
During high school, Cameron served as President of both the McCracken County FFA and the Purchase Region FFA, where he led efforts to promote agricultural education and leadership development. He was also deeply involved in the Junior Red Angus Association of America, serving on the National Board of Directors for three years. His leadership roles included At-Large Director, Commercial Marketing Chair and ultimately, President of the Junior Association. In 2024, he was honored as the Junior Member of the Year, recognizing his commitment to youth agriculture and livestock excellence.
Outside of the funeral home, Cameron enjoys working on his family's cattle operation, spending time with friends and golfing.
Cameron plans to attend mortuary college and purse a lifelong career in funeral service. He is honored to be serving as a Funeral Director's Apprentice and is sincerely grateful to the Imes family for the opportunity to learn and grow within such a respected and caring organization.
Mary Beth was born and raised in Calloway County. She has been a licensed funeral director since 1975. She has been married to Kenny Imes for over 50 years and have three children, Molly, John, Matt Imes; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Maddie, Luke, Landan, Will, Abby, Hugh and one great grand daughter, Martha.
John was born and raised in Calloway County. He graduated from Calloway County High School in 1988. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Baylor and Murray State University. He and his wife, Shannon, live in Murray and have two children, Elizabeth and Luke, as well as, one granddaughter, Martha.
Wendy is a native of Murray. She is a 1996 graduate of Murray High School, then earned a Bachelor's in Business/Marketing from Murray State University. In addition, Wendy is a Licensed Life Insurance Agent, as well as, a Kentucky Licensed Funeral Director. She is the wife of Matt, co-owner of Imes Funeral Home & Crematory. They married on May 1, 2004 and have three children, Will, Abby and Hugh. She is a member of Murray Womans Club, volunteers at Soup for the Soul and Hickory Woods Retirement Center, is a PTO member, and is very involved at her church. Wendy believes that her position in funeral service is truly a called ministry.
Janus has been a Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director since 1989 after graduating from Cypress College of Mortuary Science in California. She married Tony Vilardo in 1990 and they have three children: Jacqueline, Nicholas and Phillip. They have called Murray home since 2004. Janus is very happy to be a part of the dedicated Imes family assisting those families who entrust us with their loved one's care.
Carmen is a great addition to Imes Funeral Home and Crematory. Born and raised in IL, she came to Murray to be an MSU Racer. She earned B.S. and M.S. degrees and began working at Murray State in several administrative roles. She retired after 31 years. Carmen has two sons, Justin and Josh. They are both married, have two children each and live in Murray. Carmen loves spoiling her grandchildren, enjoys home projects, and working in her yard. She is proud to be a part of the Imes family business that has such a strong personal commitment to families in their time of loss, sharing their grief from loss of beloved family members, dear friends, and cherished pets.
Patrick joined the Imes Funeral Home family in 2019. He and his wife, Andrea, live in Murray with their two sons, Noah and Cooper. Patrick works for the Murray Police Department and is currently the school resource officer for Murray Middle School. Born and raised in the Kirksey community, Patrick is the son of the late Bill "Cutworm" Morris and Carolyn Towery Morris, and is a 1995 graduate of Calloway County High School.
